Good results! Success!

BACK

This page is devoted to stories from parent, teachers or students themselves on good results from using either Flick Stick or 'Kiwi Math' resources. Photographs welcome.

These, our first pictures, show Marlborough Kindergarten children, at work. Dayna, Jesai, Kaitlin, Mackenzie, Maja, Mason, Michael and Raphael are all aged 4 and proceeding at their own pace.  Click on pictures to enlarge.

'Hey, kids!' say Kaitlin and Mackenzie.
'This maths stuff is such fun!'

Jesai - ready to point to the number called!

Michael! - at once picks the called number - but likes then also to count the dots!

Michael  finger-traces '5'.

Dayna, with her Flikstik Dice showing '4',
catches up to Maja in a board game.

Batman Shewon works on Number Recognition!

Mackenzie playing Kaitlin looks for a '2 and 3'
square to match her Flikstik pattern.

Kaitlin, with a 4-Ball Flikstik, asks Mackenzie (eyes shut!)
'How many balls did I hide?'

It's great now to see some children able to pair off and independently play Flick Stick games like '5-Ball Bingo'.

And great to see some children already able to play 'The 'x' Game' (missing addends!) to 5. Fantastic!

Jesai traces each number 3 times.
It's her very first try. Well done!

First time at tracing numbers wasn't that easy!
But we kept at it! Great, Michael!

'Enthusiasm!'
