2. Is the Number Stick specific to one particular curriculum model?
The number stick and its supporting materials aim to help children develop their understanding, enjoyment and confidence with early math concepts like counting, number recognition, number patterns, the four operations and many others. These, in most cases, are the core focus of most curriculum models. Currently the number stick is being used successfully in schools that have the New Zealand National Curriculum, International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), Abu Dhabi Education Council Curriculum and others.
3. What is a suitable age range for students to use the number stick?
3 years up to 10. However we have found that it has been successful as a remedial learning tool for older students too.

5. What about if I want my students to work with numbers greater than ten?
The number stick is designed to join up with other Number Sticks. This allows students to explore large numbers and more challenging number patterns. Joining the sticks also provides an opportunity for learning about place value. Students can learn about the place value of numbers of any size.
